Taking a Look at Globalization and Sustainability: Students from Berlin, Hamburg, Hesse, and Saxony Win Video Competition

Yesterday’s b@s videochallenge award ceremony in Frankfurthonored the best entries in six different categories in the video competition of the educational initiative business@school. Students from Berlin, Hamburg, Hanau, Meissen, and Oberursel (Taunus) were recognized for their company analyses and recommended courses of action.

Frankfurt am Main, September 22, 2022. With their analyses of companies in video form, participants in the b@s videochallenge proved their creativity, understanding of business, and media savvy. In the four-minute winning videos, the students took a look at globalization and sustainability and, after close analysis, provided their recommendations for the future of the four companies. This week, the best videos were honored at an award ceremony. In addition to four first places, sponsored by the competition’s four partner companies, two special prizes were also presented. In a video message, ElkeBüdenbender, the patron of the video competition, congratulated and commended the teams: “What I found most impressive was how you addressed society’s current challenges in your analyses and recommendations.”

Two awards with the Audience Award

For one week, all visitors to the b@s videochallenge website were able to cast their votes for the videos nominated for the Audience Award. Jaden and Maximilian’s video about DFL won with over 36 percent of the votes. Both students from the Frankfurt International School were pleased during the award ceremony about their double victory, “We asked our whole school and our families to vote for us. Even our friends from the US supported us!”

The winners of the awards sponsored by partner companies can look forward to exclusive looks behind the scenes at these four companies, while the winners of the special prizes will be spending a day together with an experience of their choice. The winning videos and all other nominated entries can be viewed on the website.
