Munich, November 13, 2025. At the award ceremony of the b@s videochallenge, the video competition of the education initiative business@School, the best contributions in seven different categories were honored today in Munich. Students from Germany (Düsseldorf, Fulda, Gelnhausen, Kassel, Cologne, Meissen, Rissen, Tutzing, Wiesbaden) and Switzerland (Bülach) were honored for their company analyzes and recommendations for action.

At the b@s videochallenge, students between 14 and 20 years of age from all school types analyze the causes of entrepreneurial success and possible risks, develop recommendations and present their results in four-minute videos. This year, the participants had the choice for their videos between MAMMUT, Vorwerk, the KION Group and the help alliance. The patron of the competition is Elke Büdenbender, lawyer and wife of German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. In a video message, she was impressed by the students' performance: "With your contributions, you proved yourself – but also to everyone else – that you are digitally competent, even in dealing with AI. You can prompt and quote sources. You deal critically with topics, you are enormously creative and understand economic contexts and you also think internationally. You show a healthy ambition, a great willingness to learn and perseverance."

The winners in the four competition categories:

Eva (17), Hugo (17), Jakob (17) and Julia (18) from the Erzbischöfliche Liebfrauenschule Cologne, Germany

Joel, Tobias and Yannick (all 18) from the Gymnasium Tutzing, Germany

Alina (17), Emelie (17), Hannah (16), Johann (17) and Joline (16) from the State Gymnasium St. Afra Meissen, Germany

Janina (16) from the Schillerschule Bochum, Germany

Special prizes for foreign language skills, perseverance and audience enthusiasm

In addition to the four first prizes, donated by the four company partners, three special prizes were awarded. This year, the Foreign Language Award was also awarded for the second time to a team that did not record its video in its native language. Jenny (18), Diana (19), Finia (18), Klara (18) and Nele (18) from the Berufliche Schulen of the Main-Kinzig-Kreis Gelnhausen, Germany won this prize with their video in English about MAMMUT. Lena (15) from the Winfriedschule in Fulda, Germany was awarded the prize for the best video up to the 9th grade with the Youngster Award. Lena proved her ambition and perseverance, because she had already been nominated for the award last year with her submission in the last round of competition. This year she triumphed in the Youngster category with her video about MAMMUT. The Audience Award was won by Shahid (19) and Semih (18) from the Jacob-Grimm-Schule in Kassel, Germany who shot a video about the KION Group. They had collected the most votes in online voting the week before the final. 

Exchange and recognition instead of competition

Even if the prizes for the winning teams are highly coveted – a trip to the Swiss Alps with MAMMUT, a Meet & Greet with Vorwerk board, practical driving fun at the KION Group, an exclusive look behind the scenes of Lufthansa at Frankfurt Airport and other team experiences – There was no sign of competition at the announcement of the respective winning teams. With great applause, the young people paid tribute to each other and exchanged their videos.
