Alina, Emelie, Hannah, Johann, and Joline from Landesgymnasium St. Afra in Meissen were rewarded for their winning video about the KION Group with a very special experience. Following the official award ceremony of the b@s videochallenge in autumn 2025 in Munich, where they received their prize from Timo Schwarz, Senior Director Talent Attraction & Retention at the KION Group, the team redeemed their prize in January 2026 with a behind-the-scenes visit to the Aschaffenburg production site.

Few companies move as much as the KION Group - quite literally. As one of the world’s leading providers of forklift trucks, warehouse technology, and supply chain solutions, KION shapes global industry and plays a key role in driving innovation in warehousing, logistics, and transport. For the winning team, the visit meant an immersive dive into this world.

At the headquarters of Linde Material Handling, the company’s largest production site in Europe, the students were given exclusive behind-the-scenes insights, from the company’s history and strategy to state-of-the-art production processes and logistics operations, complemented by a personal guided plant tour.

A particular highlight marked the end of the day: at the Linde Experience Hub, the students were able to get hands-on during an exclusive driving session and drive forklifts themselves: a practical experience that uniquely combined technology, innovation, and driving fun.
