Sustainability
Mammut is pursuing various sustainability initiatives, including the Mammut LOOPINSULATION project, in which synthetic insulation materials for products are produced from production residues from rope production. In collaboration with organizations such as Bluesign, Mammut ensures that the negative environmental impacts of the entire value chain are minimized. The focus is on recycled materials, minimizing waste and optimizing packaging. Mammut attaches particular importance to the longevity, reparability and guarantee of the products. Some products are manufactured in Europe, but the majority of technical clothing is produced in Vietnam for certification and cost reasons.

(Influencer) Marketing & Cooperation
The Mammut brand is strongly positioned in the German-speaking countries as well as in China, Japan and North America. In order to strengthen the brand in a targeted manner, Mammut enters into strategic partnerships with (extreme) athletes. The company does not see itself as a streetwear brand, but as a provider of high-quality outdoor products. Accordingly, Mammut selects potential partnerships in a targeted and strategic manner.

Testing & Quality Control
For product testing, Mammut uses laboratory-supported tests with special machines as well as outdoor tests by experienced mountain guides and athletes. In Seon, Switzerland, machines are available that test ropes and other equipment in various ways. For clothing, machines are used to measure abrasion resistance and water resistance. Additional practical tests by ski guides enable a realistic assessment of durability. Of course, all safety products such as climbing equipment must follow different standards.

Product Innovations & Ideas
Experimentation plays a central role in product development at Mammut and opens up scope for new solutions. Lightweight ropes and inflatable crash pads are among Mammut's innovative development tests, which have not yet made it into mass production and later onto the market.
